1892 Barber Half I Need Some Help With

I picked up this half today because it was a bargain. The problem is it is very dark and pretty ugly in certain lighting. I took pics in different light to show this. I'm still fairly new and still trying to learn how to grade accurately. Personally I would consider this in the XF range but I'm not quite sure how the toning would affect the grade. I'd love to hear what other people (who I'm sure are much more knowledgeable than myself)think about it. Thanks for looking!

I don't like the toning, but still looks like a strong EF coin.

This coin would probably benefit from NGC or PCGS conservation services.

It appears to be a XF-45 but it looks like it could have old cleaning. Regardless a barber half in that grade or better are hard to find so NCS is your best route in this situation.

Extremely strong XF and very attractive. Could easily end up in a low AU holder.

AU-50 sharpness. That color kind of worries me, bit odd.

Looks like AU-50 detail. Professional conservation will likely improve the appearance significantly. You will have to decide whether it would be worth the cost, and the risk (removing the tone might reveal underlying surface problems). Good luck!
