I can see what looks like the die drop in the center of the neck, as well as the spread in the motto & doubling on the date & mint mark. Is that because it's actually there, or because I want it to be?!

2 questions. What is die drop. What is die drop. If you mean MD then probably not, maybe plating issues or die wear. Nothing creating a premium!

Don't see anything of note...a "ghosting effect" around letters or numbers is just mechanical vibration called MD, Doubled dies are VERY noticeable, like this:

What you may be referring to is a "die chip" or "die break", don't see any here. What you may see is a plating "bubble" due to the thin copper plating over zinc core. Notice the "zits" in pix above...bubbles.
