This is a warning to anyone buying Perth Mint gold.

All CertiCard Assay Perth Mint gold bars are fake if serial number starts with Letter A
See pics below of a counterfeit 1 ounce Perth Gold bar produced in China. 5g, 10g, 20g are also fakes.

This is the reason why, with very valuable coins, the slab as well as the coin, need to be authenticated.

Buy a very valuable coin slabbed, then get it re slabbed.

I see absolutely no reason why the Chinese should not fake slabs as well, and do an excellent job of it.
