Last time I posted an inventory update was on 7/19/18, and I haven't worked on the inventory at all since then. Too much other stuff going on. I did do a little small dollar and Kennedy half roll hunting, but most of those were brought back to the bank, nothing special. I did pick up 3 sets of the "S" State Quarter Proofs, that I now have to add to my inventory. And, I am so proud of myself , I avoided all temptation to buy any Wheaties. I have been picking up a few coin albums here and there so I can start filling those this winter also. I had to buy a new tractor this year so I didn't buy the Dansco albums, but I picked up a cheaper version I found at Wizard Coin Supply.

I admire the inventory. I am working on mine as we speak. I almost have my whole clad jar of 1965-present dimes complete.

Been counting coins off and on since my last post, I decided to skip the inventory of the ATB Quarters until a later date, and worked on my half dollars through 2001. Here are my current inventory numbers Quarters Standing Liberty 1 - 90% Silver Washington 166 - '65 to '98 Washington 1,622 - Statehood Quarters 1,820 - DC & Territories 27. Half Dollars Walking Liberty 4 - Franklin 74 (2 complete sets plus a few extra)- JFK 90% Silver 166 - JFK 40% Silver 107 -JFK '71 to 2001 992. Will start up on the Dollar coins next week during the long turkey day holiday and then will get started on the bag of nickels, and the bag of LMCs I found. I started this inventory process one year ago over the turkey day holiday, I am excited that the end of the tunnel is in sight. This next year I hope to get everything put into books, folders and/or flips, then whatever coins I am not keeping dump at the bank and put into my checking account, so I can buy more rolls to search.

Wow! That's some dedication. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all my wheaties. I'm sure not planning to count them.

Since my last inventory update post on the 18th, I have been hitting the inventory hard, I want to get this done so I can move on to something else. I went back to the ATB's and did those before I started the dollar inventory. 259 ATB Quarters -----Dollars----- 2 Morgan, 2 Peace, 235 IKE's, 120 SBA's, 146 Sac's, 44 Native. I will start on the Presidential dollars later on this afternoon before the snow flies. I want to harrow drag my driveway before it snows and move some dirt around. Basically I need to fill the holes in the yard where the dog has been digging

Quote: I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all my wheaties If you were a huckster, you would put them in a roll with an AG 1916 merc on one end with the obv showing, and a common D-mint merc with the rev showing on the other and sell them on ebay with a lot of hype. Just kidding.

Well crap, I went to my safe and pulled out the bags of Presidential dollars and I found another bag of Statehood Quarters, a small bag of Washington quarters, and another small bag of LWC's Good news there isn't a lot, maybe 200-250 quarters total, and maybe 50 Wheaties. I'll put these with the bags of LMC's and Jefferson nickels, I found earlier in the year. I will get my Presidential dollars done before I backtrack on the bags I missed counting the first time around. Oh yea, don't remember if I mentioned this before but I had to get another safe. I ran out of room in the old one.

Finished up the balance of the Dollar Coin inventory today, 785 Presidential dollars and 34 Silver Eagles. The bulk of the Presidential dollars will be dumped at my bank. I picked up a set of the S mint proofs, so I will have at lease one complete set. The Silver Eagles are plain old raw no mint mark unslabbed coins I picked up from a local coin dealer and put them into a dansco album. Gonna take a little break from inventory, see ya with another update in a couple of weeks...

So, is any of this going into a collection or is it all being cashed in? Some pics would be nice.

Original goal of doing this inventory is to get some starter sets going for some of my younger nephews that are about getting to that scouting age, I plan on filling albums for my self, and the leftovers will go into the starter sets. I will keep on hoarding ( ) the Wheaties and the Silver and misc. other coins, the rest will be dumped into the bank. As far as a picture, I will get something during my Christmas Vacation when I have time to pull everything out of the safe.

I feel your pain. Trying to inventory a hoard is time consuming. I've got 30 pounds of wheat pennies that I need to deal with. More than half of which are loose.
Also, I learned a new term today - Silver Stacker. That certainly applies to me. It might apply to you as well.
