Legendary 1982 D Small Date Copper Penvy?

So basically I'm not for sure but this is a copper penny because a great way to tell if you don't have the scale to weigh them, like me, then you can drop them on the ground and a zinc will just make a dull bang and a copper penny has a high pitched ring. This coin has that high pitched ring and I even compared it to a copper penny and zinc penny and it sounds exactly like the copper one. But I'm not for sure if it's small date or not.

use a popsickle stick teeter totter to determine weight. I took one, glued a know copper cent on one end, then used a cut piece of plastic straw to find the center balance point with a loose copper at the other end. (glue straw at that point.)
Set the balance point with coppers, therefore the stinkin zinkins won't tip the scale...
