GR58 good luck at the show, I'll more than likely swing by to check it out as I live in Jackson. Have been to several coin club meetings but it's been about a year or so since the last time for me.

It will be nice to meet you fistfulladirt, if you get a chance to stop by.
I will be on the back wall, Lansing road side wall. I think most people will enter from the back parking lot. I think I will be next to Larry, the coin dealer from Eaton Rapids.

Hey GR58, glad to have you setup at the Jackson Area Coin Club Show (JACC) for the first time. Don't forget the Dealer free coffee, donuts, and fruit during set up. As well as a food coupon good for a free lunch.
I am the President of the JACC , our twice yearly shows generate the revenue for our two main Numismatic educational programs of donating books to our community library and sponsoring awards at two MSNS Conventions each year.
Our shows charge $50 for a 8' table and $90 for a corner table. 32 tables. We are blessed with a loyal contingent of dealers that support our shows. With no admission and free door prices and gifts for all YN's we try to have a good time for the whole family.
Show details Jackson Area Coin Club Fall Coin Show Amarican Legion Post #29 3200 Lansing Rd Jackson MI 49202 Hours: 9AM to 3PM
If you're in the southern mid-Michigan area tomorrow, Oct 18th, drop by and say Hello.

Just got back, I have to say it was fun. Most of my sales were to other dealers, but I did sell a good amount to collectors. I would have never guessed the coins that did sell. I thought I would have sold more Morgan dollars and slabbed ASE's. One coin I put a higher price, about $750 more than I paid for it, sold within the first hour. I came down a little but $700 ahead. Edit - not sure I said that right ... made $700 on the one coin ... I sold much more than that total. Not sure I will do as well in future shows .... but hope to try. My table Show floor

I always said I'd keep doing it till it wasn't fun anymore. It quit being fun for me about 4 years ago.

The Jackson Area Coin Club had another successful show. The Club Members all pitch in for setup the night before, staff the Club table during the show and changing the table setup for Sunday's Am Legion Breakfast. All rhe help makes pretty short work of it.
Every dealer I spoke with said they did well and our dealer survey results were positive. Time to start planning for our Spring 2019 show on May 4th.

A corner table is good and you have a perfect amount of stock in my opinion. Guys that have 4 tables all stacked and cluttered are not for me. I just walk by them slowly and hope something on top jumps out at me. I would have been feeling pretty cozy at your table. My sales were mostly to other dealers too. I have only done 4 or 5 shows as a dealer and yes, the stuff that sold always surprised me too. I am glad you did well. Congrats! Nice pictures too, an excellent report!
