Would like the groups thoughts on the Chinese token below. It is 26mm and weighs 4.7g. I could not find a similar one on the internet. Any information on attribution would be greatly appreciated.

Possibly a Japanese Buddhist Charm. 18th or 19th century. Similar charms were carried by Japanese visitors to China. At a guess the inscription would read something like 'I put my trust in Buddha'.

@LINTP, this is my go-to website for identifying Chinese charms:

Thank you both for your input, as you put me on the right track with the Japanese Buddhist charm suggestion!

Just a bit of additional information on this one:

It appears to be a Japanese Buddhist souvenir. The image of Buddha is in the center. The characters around the rim look like #21335;#28961;#38463;#24396;#38464;#20315; which translates as "I believe in (or take refuge in or adore "Amida Buddha".

Any additional information welcome.
