Hi

I am new to the forum and am looking for some advice on some old coins that my elderly aunt has got. There are several ranging from 1805 onwards.

The most interesting one (which I think might be a crown) from 1893. I have attached a couple of pictures.

I have promised to try and establish a value of them for her so any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

It would be helpful if you also provide the weight and diameter.

It's a British silver crown. I don't know what that would grade since the pics are not very clear. A VF is worth around $35, but the prices go up quite a bit as the grade increases. If you could post better pics, I am sure others would be able to offer a grade opinion.

From the pictures that would grade Fine, or at best Good Fine on the UK system. They are surprisingly common in these grades. If I was selling it on my market stall in the UK I would probably mark it at £25 and be happy with a deal around £20. (May do better sold in the US where old British mid-grade coins consistently do better than they would over here.)
For interest, you should be able to see a regnal year in Roman numerals on the edge - for 1893 these should be LVI or LVII with the latter slightly scarcer.

PS - pictures of the other coins would be great!

Thanks everyone for your help.

The others are a few British pennies from the same sort of era, some Irish, a french one and some newer ones. The only other really interesting one is this one from 1805. Not really sure what it is or where it is from

That is an Irish Halfpenny, 1805. Issued whilst Ireland was ruled from London, hence George III's bust.
Not scarce and in that condition worth maybe £1 if you are lucky, but an interesting piece of history.
