1993 P Dime A Little Odd - Coin Community Forum

Second, coins like this which have a pronouced rim that is smooth may have spent time rolling in a clothes dryer. ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19237 Posts	Posted 07/31/2019 10:29 am Yes, there is the ' Dryer Coin' effect. Too, some coins with this appearance have been deliberately shaped by people. I've seen it done by tapping the coin's rim with a mallet or other tool while turning (rolling) the coin.
