Hi,

Looking at this coin, I'm curious what's going on with the date, and IGWT. Also, maybe above his hair?

I have no illusions that this is something special, just wondering if this is typical wear in circulation, or something specific? Or maybe my eyes are failing me. Having a hard time getting a good picture. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking Die Deterioration because the doubling is moving towards the rim of the coin. I'll let the others tell me if that's the case.

Yokozuna is correct, the die that stuck this coin was old and weak. Horrible looking coin

. It's not surprising that with the volume they are minting that there is some less lovely pieces.
