fortcollins Pillar of the Community United States 3677 Posts	Posted 10/19/2019 2:00 pm It's the Manganese in the alloy. Manganese has a variety of oxidation states, with different resulting colors. The greenish tint is Manganese in the +6 oxidation state (MnO3-6). The most typical oxidation state for Manganese is +2, which has a weak pinkish tint. Report this Post to the Staff
