Anything and everything connected with coins is collected by someone. However, I suspect that the collecting demand for this item would be quite low compared to the coins themselves. Still, it is an interesting item of numismatic history.

I have seen examples of this card before. And yes, there are enough people who collect coin-related-banking-ephemera (moneyboxes, coin wrappers, etc) to make the card worth a couple of dollars at least.

The 2 cent coin itself is likely to be less valuable, in this instance, as the cardboard is likely to have caused severe oxidation, if not outright corrosion. At least, this has been the fate of the examples of this carded coin that I have seen myself. After all, providing long-term storage of a collectable coin was not the original intent of the giveaway - you were supposed to put the coin in a moneybox, not keep it in the card.

It's precisely because it was designed and intended to be disposable, that make the surviving examples valuable and interesting to the ephemera collector.
