Sears Copper Token 1986 Centenial - But Not Statue Of Liberty

kaczman New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 05/10/2020 3:31 pm Doing much research online, I see a million of these 1986 Sears centennial coins, but always the ones with the statue of liberty on the front, and 100 on the back. I couldnt find a single image of this point I have, which appears to be the first sears on the front, with 100 on the rear. commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12313 Posts	Posted 05/10/2020 4:16 pm It was a gift from the company to employees back in 1986 to help celebrate/commemorate the company's 100th anniversary. Employees also got a "Sears 100" lapel pin/tie tack. It's a fairly common piece - multiple are available on ebay at the moment for $10-$12 or less. Some sellers try to get more, but there are plenty to go around for about $10. (I've seen them sell for $5.00 more than once.) Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 05/10/2020 4:24 pm In the 60's I loved Sears Christmas "Wish Book" toy catalog. A great big book to make a list for Santa from.
