Is this a DDO? It looks like the 5 in 1955 is doubled.

@jwj, I think that is DDD rather than DDO.

No prob. If you use the keywords DDD and 1955 in the CCF search box, you will see other many other examples of this so-called Poor Man's Doubled Die for comparison.

Indeed, and also like Spence replied: a result of Die Deterioration - you can also tell more of the DD by the top words stretching towards the rim and the starting of a ridge ringe.

Yes, the ubiquitous 'poor man's doubled die' Die was in poor shape. Note the emergence of a Ridge Ring. Occasionally, the 'poor mans' will come with nicely cracked skulls.
