When looking at the date just above the 60 and the E and R I see what look like marks I cannot identify above them. I have seen this a lot on the 1960 nickels I have been going through is this anything special?

Nothing special, just Die Chips which are fairly common.

Those are often called "bar" plus the name of the letter or digit, so "bar zero" etc. Quite common on 1960 nickels.

May want to keep the nickel in a 2x2 as a fun curiosity.

These rolls of Nickels I am going through have several die chips in many different locations. Now that I know what I am looking at it will make the hunt even more enjoyable.
