1993 Dime Deteriorated Die? - Coin Community Forum

ikandiggit Pillar of the Community Canada 1166 Posts	Posted 01/08/2009 12:45 am I have this 1993 Canada dime where there is doubling on the date. The first nine is pushed up slightly with a tiny bit of doubling at the bottom of it. The second nine is pushed up quite a bit and the three is up slightly. There is no other doubling on the dime at all. I've adjusted the contrast on the pics because I couldn't get good enough lighting on it to show the separations. My question is: Is this Die Deterioration? Report this Post to the Staff

Comparing the two, I notice the first date has much thinner strokes were the doubling or Die Deterioration is happening. There might be a few things happening here, including MD.
