I am surprised ghe "Continental Dollar" is listed as a U.S coin, and at #14 no less......?
It is now proven it was not known in America until the late 1700's, and that it was most likely intended as a token struck either in England or Germany.
None of the earliest numismatist in the U.S were even aware of this issue.

His view is well researched but not really definitive. There are also many things within his story that need further research. A little more interesting (to me) about David is that he owns the Type 2 Quint, one of only two 2 Quints known which are much more interesting and valuable. A true pattern commissioned by brothers Robert and Gouverneur Morris under their system for U.S. coinage.
