Hello,

I just went trough a bunch of pennies I had for years. I picked a 1969 D to focus on. I am no expert and I don't know if I have a 1969 D that is missing the FG. I am including a picture of the front and back of four coins (please note that the images are brightened a bit so you can see them.

I also found in the container an odd looking nickel that looks like it has rolled edges. I do not know if this is an error or not. My guess it's the latter of the two.

Please see the images. If someone could tell me is any of these are worth more attention then could you please let me know.

Thanks,

---Mark

please only one coin per thread - too confusing to list anything to a particular coin.
Are all the 1969 D cent pictures of the same coin? or are there many?
The nickel is a severe Dryer Coin. It is also a 40% silver wartime nickel.

I can see the FG on the cent reverse. The nickel is a " War Nickel" with silver content that was damaged in the manner of Dryer Coins.

If the cent up posted up above IS indeed the same coin then there is a hint of the designers initials.
if not all the same coin then the last 2 have a weak FG. hard to tell. too many pictures of full coin images and no close-up images of the areas of interest.

Sorry, my apologies for posting the nickel and the pennies together.

As for the 1969-D pennies there are four pennines pictured. The two at the top look like the have the FG but I don't see the same on the last two. Maybe I just don't know what to look for. but it seems to me there is no sign of it being there.

Thank you again,

---Mark

After looking closer at the four 1969-D pennies I see the G or a faint part of it as you mentioned. On one of them I do not see it at all. The three following photo's are all of the same coin.

Can't sort this out. One coin per thread is best. Advise starting over for coherent replies.
