TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 03/01/2009 10:01 pm I think having the 5 steps designation helps, your images are small and I see some dark toning which doesn't bother me a bit. I did a search on ebay and found there were about 6 that sold in the past 30 days in MS65, half had full steps or 5 steps. Those fetched an average of about 22.00 in a certified slab. Others did not have the steps noted and were going for less or did not sell. The 1943 D is one of the easiest and most available War Nickels along with the 1943 P 1945 P and 1945 S. The 1943 D is not all that difficult to find well struck where the 1945 S would be a great catch in that strong strike and condition. I do not need this date, but if I were shopping for one I would like to get one like yours and would probably quit bidding personally at around $15.00 - $18.00 including the cost of shipping.
