While roll hunting I came across this beautiful Wheat cent. The best I can tell is it's from the 1950's... If you lean/stand back away from the screen you can just make out the ONE CENT... Soooo...what's your worst identifiable coin? Pics?

I'm not seeing it - the letters.
It looks like a chocolate coin that's been in your pocket too long. Or, perhaps, is this a work of modern art?
I would think that by identifiable coin, you would have meant that the date was identifiable...
If I had any coins like that, they would have been gone long ago, or put in with my coppers.

I can't make out the "one cent" at all, but I do think I see a 1955-D there. I can probably pull some real crap out of circulation, or count the squshed railroad coins I have as my 'worst coins', but so far as my worst coins in my collection I don't really have any. I collect nice coins, not crap. And for the love of god whoever has that holed Seated Liberty dime please don't show it on here again. That things makes me shudder.

Looks like a good luck coin to me. Put it in the bottom of your shoe and at the end of the day if you don't have a blister - Your Lucky!

My 1916 Standing Liberty quarter is probably my worst coin that's actually part of my collection. It doesn't have any problems, it's just seen A LOT of circulation. How something that scarce floated around out there so long I'll never know. I'm going to get it slabbed, and I'm guessing FR02 at the best. I'll try to get some pics up.

Do you think PCGS would slab that as genuine?

Terror,
Kind of surprised that you have a 1916 SLQ with that much wear that you can still read the date! The dates wore off notoriously fast on those coins.

Actually coppernickeldaddy, I can't read the date. I identified it with this great article on ANACS's website: http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/S...e.aspx?ID=16I read that then compared it against my 1917 type 1 and it matched the pics and didn't match the '17. I'm in the process of trying to get a pic of it to put up here.
