As a general rule "don't clean coins" as for these I don't see anything special and wouldn't bother cleaning them, nice finds though, were you using a metal detector? John1

Try acetone. It will not hurt the coins but should remove some of the grime. Start first by washing the coins with the hottest water your hands could take. You can even use a little dish soap and gently rub the coins between your fingers only! Wash off, and pat dry. Then the acetone. This should help.

One of the very best ways to treat ground found coins, is to place them into olive oil and let the soak until all of the crud has loosened, then rinse under hot hot water and then pat dry with a cotton cloth. One thing to remember is when you find a coin, don't wipe or rub the crud off of coin just to see what the date is, the coin has been laying in the ground waiting for you to find it. If you wipe it off you will scratch it and will lose more value.
