In the early 2010s, I contacted the Northwest Territorial Mint (NWTM) on behalf of my local coin club regarding a medal project we were considering. After describing the potential project to a company sales representative, I was told I'd be sent a package with a price quote, production details and some NWTM samples.

Within a week I received a large envelope from the company with the promised materials. One of the included samples was unexpected, but was perfect considering the company's business - the sales rep I spoke to sent his business card in the form of an attractive medal with selective enameld coloring on its obverse.

The obverse featured the Bald Eagle logo of NWTM surrounded by a ring of hunter green enamel, and the reverse presented the rep's name and contact information. Brilliant!

The NWTM produced some nice work, it's too bad it ran into financial problems that forced its sale.

I'm about 40 miles from the location of the former NWTM affiliate, Medallic Art Company, mentioned in this Coin World article from May 2022: https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-c...nt-officials
One of my college classmates was a NWTM victim. . .

The company that purchased the NWTM IP assets sells restrike versions of MACO medals, e.g., National Parks

Memorable enough for me to keep years later!

I think it's a novel and interesting business card! Much more so than the typical card (of which I've received 1,000+ over the years!)

Among the chores I had as a factory GM was ordering pallets and cut lumber. One of my vendors had a standard size business card made of wood veneer; his company logo & contact information was imprinted using a branding iron.
