2025 United States Mint Proof Set Available March 4

Bret they were beautiful cameo coins but the obv. of the coins seem to be splashed with a red substance. I looked with great magnification and it was on the coins. Oh well I just sent them back to the mint for two more sets. I guess that is my luck. Glad to hear no one else got them on their coins. They weren't carbon spots but something had to be splashed on them because it wasn't on the inner plastic. Oh well good to hear the new sets they will send me should be clean. Thanks for the update Bret. I feel better now. It was a dark blood red in color.

so are mine - they all look great.

I just received mine. The cent is fine, as are all other coins... EXCEPT there's a hairline scratch on the obverse of the dollar, in the mirrored field on the right. Will have to exchange for another... anybody else done this process before? Do they handle it smoothly and competently?

That line is doubled! It may be on the lens or the plastic retainer and is reflecting onto the coin. I have had many, many scratched lenses over the years, so you may want to confirm before going through the hassle of a return.

That is a possibility. Reflections can be tricky. Good luck with the exchange, the only real hassle is your time.

People are going to be sorely disappointed when the cent shows up again in 2026.

The 2025 Proof Set has identical Mintage Limit and Product Limit figures: 420,002.
As of the October 8 USM Sales Report, 304,728 sets have sold. However, the product [ 25RG ] is currently not available for sale at the USM e-commerce site.
Just for grins, I signed up for the "remind me" text when the product becomes available again. . .a text that isn't likely to happen, in my opinion.

Is it fairly common for the USM to announce Mintage and / or Product Limits only to cut off production / sales well short of the limits ?
