New Variety 1974 D Doubled Die Obverse / DDO (Doubled Ear)?

NY Islander Pillar of the Community United States 985 Posts	Posted 07/07/2024 4:02 pm I don't come here looking for opinions with the easy one's. Found this 1974 D recently. It is a high AU that was well struck with a reasonably new die. There are no DDO's with doubled ears listed on Wex, CC or VV. Doesn't look like MD the edges are smooth and curved, no shelving. Also, doesn't look like a hit. The bottom of the doubled ear lobe tapers and folds under the ear lobe in the close ups. For comparison purposes the last image is one of the similar doubled ears on several several State Quarters. Interesting coin. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
