Friday I got 2 more women's hockey rolls, and 2 rolls of Cindy Klassen rolls. In the women's, I found 3 and 5 colourized, total of 8 in 2 rolls, and in the Klassen 8 and 11 in the 2 rolls, total of 19 in 2 rolls. Still no reports of varieties for these types. Can anyone confirm the rumuur that the types in the sets are the opposite way- the red on the double outline leaf?
To Wpgl.wr.- if most of your colourized ones have the date raised on the leg, count your blessings. I believe that these are much more scarce than the 2 countersunk on the leg. Everyone else has said that the raised one is scarcest. I have 11 raised, 3 "doubled" courtesy of a diechip, and 73 "countersunk colourized coins. The mint is talking about 200,000 of one variety, as opposed to 3 million of the other (I wonder if the 200,000 is included in the 3 million?), which would put it as scarce as the 1884 5 Cent, 1890H 25 cent, and 1871 50 cent, but not as scarce as the 1921 5Cent,1884 10 cent,1885 25 cent, 1887 25 cent, 1891 25 cent, 1889 25 cent, 1893 25 cent, 1871H 50 cent and all later Victoria 50 cents, 1902-1905 and 1908 cents, 1914 and 1931-1938 50 cents, 1947ML and 1948 50 cents, 1938 and 1945-1948 Silver dollars.

I wouldn't describe them as the "opposite" way, but yes, they are enamel painted on the double outline ... it's quite dramatically different than the circulation coins.

The mint.ca website does show it, but I'm not sure if it's a mock up. If you keep an eye on ebay, I've seen a number of "MS-66 NBU" Women's Hockey holders for sale.

Can the little people stand up and be counted too?
14 Red Mens Hockey Quarters
Engraved 2 = 11
Raised 2 = 2
Engraved 2 in 2010 set = 1
I believe is the engraved 2, that is set aside the rest of the coins in this great 2010 Special Edition Uncirculated set. Is the case with all of the mint sets?

I bought 3 of the colorized Olympic coins and I'm worried I got fakes . the paint looks like finger nail polish it's uneven and sloppy around the edges . how can I tell if they are not fakes ?

They are NOT fakes. The circulation painted ones are really that bad.

"How can I tell if they are not fakes?"

One of the best ways is to shine a UV light on the coin. All the colurized coins were sealed with a UV-visible seal. The one on the Men's hockey coin looks like a hockey rink.

That's interesting, I didn't know about the UV thing .The hologram is very cool there are 4 scenes. No wonder the price of the quarter is $4.00 the packaging and marketing is $3.00.
Are all the packaged Men's Hockey have the engraved 2 ?

I picked up a roll last month and I only got 3 coloured coins, all the same (the standard Cindy Coin). It's true the painting is a bit weird, not filling the whole spots. GEEZ, who's getting $4.00 for the coins? I can't sell them on ebay for $2.00 + 3.00 shipping, and I can't sell any of the others either. Too many people are selling them for almost nothing.

Has anyone noticed the prices being paid for the special edition set on ebay?
Item# 350320167765 - $52.99
Item# 190375092819 - $66.00

I guess being sold out would be a reason but that is a hefty premium

I came across these quarters by mistake. I have two of the colorized coins with a raised 2 and two with an incused 2

Please correct me if I am wrong but the colorized coin with the raised 2 only had 200,000 coins minted vs 21,800,000 for the colorized incused 2.

Is there much of a difference in what these two coins are valued at?
