I ordered the UNC at $609, I've decided to skip the PF, too expensive.

Thanks,

Go to the catalog site, and click on "track order" put in your order number and last name, and they should show the updated ship date there, in my case, it is tomorrow, the 28th.

We speak of the 1995w as being one of a kind and the price taking off to the moon! Well, has anyone considered the fact that this proof Buffalo will be the one and only version made that will have Fraser's original 1913 rough surface texture in the fields of both the Indian Head and the Bison devices.
This fact alone widens the number of persons who might be interested in such finishes to want one of the coins. The more people that want one, the more it will hold and/or advance in worth. This may be a winner, after all.

Good point OldDan. I hope it does go to the moon. These did not sell out as fast as I thought they would.

Thanks,

Not on the confirmation notice, but just the other day (Thur or Fri I believe)of the shipping date, on a second notification.

The biggest difference between this first year buffalo and the 1995W ASE is the fact that only ~30,000 ASEs were made vs. 300,000 buffalos.

Thanks, I went to the Mint sites "Track Order" and it told me the order was being processed. I become anxious because you never know what can happen here. These coins could have sold out in a few hours and you miss out. I kept trying and late afternoon I was able to place my order. That told me these would not last long and would be a great addition to my collection so, I was glad to have gotten thru. Dan, I subscribe to your thoughts of these becoming highly sought after once the dust settles. Do you think the mint tests the water with these sales? If they smell a big profit they will mint whatever the market will bare or are they committed to the mintage they advertised? I understand a mechanical failures at the mints means they wont make their quota and will mint less which, will drive the price up later on. I suppose the chances of that happening are slim to none.

Until mine arrive I am like a little kid again, waiting for Christmas day to arrive. Who would ever have thought I would ever experience that again after 65 years. Thanks again everyone.

I believe 300,000 will serve the collector base who can afford to spend $800. Not many would buy it.

In my opinion, its value later will depend upon factors such as if they are going to coin the same design in 2007 bullion, or if they change the design. If the design is changed, I think these will appreciate a lot. If they do 10 years of 300,000 buffalo proofs, then we may not see much above bullion prices.

Remember, they said 300,000 of the >2006< proofs. Nothing precludes them from doing 300,000 2007 Buffalo proofs.... Or even higher numbers....

If that is not the case, someone more knowledgable than me please correct me.

Fed Ex just delivered my Buffalo Proof order. This coin is beautiful when you get to see & hold one in your hands. I am a happy camper with this one. The rest of you should be seeing yours soon. As of last night when I looked at the Mints,Track Order they were still processing my order so I did not expect to see the Fed Ex guy in my driveway today.
