I met swamperbob and his Lovely Wife at the greenville, Nc coin show today. What a nice people. and let me tell you , he was able to educate very experienced coin dealers as well as the amazed people listening in.. I think the show turned out really decent considering it was the first one they had.

No I saw lots of beautiful stuff, but with the new house thing are alittle tight .. You name it they had it though, I thought of a bunch of you all on this forum and your collecting habits and or needs. For you sn31 I saw lots of canadian large cents, and lincolns, and for bryan 1315 I saw tons of VAMS Including a local collector who has come up with 50 new VAMS that were certified as such and came with letters from the last surviving of the two authors and are on the list to be added to a new VAM book comming out, and I saw alot of 21-VAM morgans for superdave and still other morgand for Morgan fred and morganman. I even saw some Ancients for SAP and G&RC, and some russian for gxseries. tax tokens for Frank. well you get the picture lots of Toned coins beautifull coins everywhere.

(Quote dsking) Oh now that's a group that could get in big trouble rather quickly! Hey I resemble that remark. LOL.Lol I think the trouble may have come from our wifes and my daughter Morgan (who by the way charmed every one there)

Has anyone thought of an annual CCF meeting? There's got to be a middle of the World that we could meet (safely)! Wouldn't that be a "hoot"? We'd all try to talk at once and I'm sure it would take maybe 5 seconds before someone put tape over my mouth! I can just hear 1199 people, in unison saying "shut up Debbie"!
Seriously though, I'm glad that atleast some of us get to meet one another. That's got to be quite an experience!

oh man I missed some VAM's, I have never been to a coin show in my life and I would need about a month or so in advance to be sure I saved some money because the way it is now if I have it and I see something I'm buying it. If I know in advance to save up for the show I will grit my teeth and save up a month or so and be able to afford some stuff. And I already like your daughter even though I dont know her just for her name sake

Sounds like it was a wonderful time. Sorry I had to miss it. Didn't have near a good time at the gun show. Kinda boring. Look forward to the day when I can meet some of the great people on this forum.

Its to bad that with all of our current technology someone dont come up with a small portable image capturing device !!
then when forum members have the pleasure of meeting ,the event could be recorded for the rest of us to enjoy even if only by a still image of the event ,, ahhhh well maybe one day something like that will be invented !!
Glad that you guys had a good time!!! Sounds great from here !!

Well that sounds cool. Since we are all scattered abroad it would be hard to find a meeting place for everyone, but it would be fun.
