Sorry I am late--but I have been away from the forum for quite some time! Here is the first old coin I ever bought, back in 1994 when I was 9! I paid 15 dollars for it and still feel very sentimentally attached to this piece. In a past life I think it was Julius Caesar...almost 23 stab wounds!   |

1854 large cent pattern J-160 (original) PR-65 Brown NGC. A "regular" proof large cent is awfully expensive but this pattern issue is much more affordable. It's also a beautiful coin with the no-stars obverse giving it a clean cameo-like look. The obverse scratches are on the holder.   |

Are the legends on the 08 half normally like that? They look out of register.
