That 52 has great original color and surfaces. Since they were "just pennies", they were commonly abused, so it's nice to see a survivor that looks that good.

It's always tough to work from pix, but it looks to me like someone snipped a bit of copper off, then it received circulation wear, polishing down the edge. I'd be interested in others' input, too.

Thanks - I jumped all over that 1852 when I saw it - I hadnt seen many quite like it at a price point I could afford.. It's probably my favorite coin in my collection right now!
