I just searched through 50 unopened proof sets and found something a little interesting. The last set I opened was dated 1961 and it is missing the Lincoln Cent and has two Roosevelt dimes (which are toned). Just a little curious if this set is worth anything or not? First time to find this in many years of opening sealed sets. I know there would be a limited market for interest in this and the value is what somebody is willing to pay, but should I list this set for? Thanks for any feedback!

probably not worth much except that you got an extra $2.50+ worth in silver. It would be worth more if the coins itself had some sort of error.

mkman123: Thanks for the reply. I didn't think that it was worth more than the extra silver, but crazy things happen in the Coin World, lol.

EgCollector: Much appreciation for the warm welcome. It is a pleasure to be here :)

Value of a 61 set minus the value of a 61 proof cent plus the value of a 61 proof dime plus maybe a buck. As a general rule packaging errors are worth about a dollar premium.
