At the American History Museum on the Mall in D.C. The photo is bad, but the lighting was terrible. I didn't know I would want my magnifier on this trip, but I would have used it on several photos so far.

i saw all 5 at baltimore show several years ago. special exhibit marking some anniverary or something like that.

okay, IHPO - now that is pretty cool!

As I recall, the sign next to this one said that 3 are in museums and 2 are in private collections, so assembling them would have been an accomplishment.

In 1942 a numismatist and American currency scholar Eric P. Newman acquired all five 1913 Liberty nickels because they were being offered as a group by their previous owner Col. Edward Green. He kept the finest specimen and sold the other four for a few hundred dollars each. He then sold the fifth and final one in 1948. Today they're worth millions of dollars apiece.
