Someone brought this by my store today looking to sell it but I have no idea of value. I scanned the back as well but for some reason the file was bad. The back is centered as normal and I do not recall anything off on the back. Can you give me an idea of a fair retail price for this? He was saying there are 16 errors on it.
As long as the back is perfectly centered, it is known as a 2nd Print Shift error. The first print is the back and the third print is the seals and serial numbers. Only one error is involved, the 2nd print, and the shift is relatively small. My note is AU with a slightly larger shift than yours, it was valued at $50-75 a couple years ago by currency error dealer Fred Bart. If the seller thinks that there are actually 16 errors there, I think they will be sorely disappointed with its real value.
Both very sweet bills...... I have also been collecting currency for the last decade + and love a good error bill........Bob, Do you collect much currency also? Mike
Thank you for the info! It doesn't sound like I will be getting this one. In his mind it is worth thousands of dollars, so it does not look like this is going to start my error collection. I will just have to stick to hoarding small face and star notes.
