1964 Ken - Bluish Color? - Coin Community Forum

BadThad Bedrock of the Community United States 19983 Posts	Posted 06/12/2007 9:57 pm I was going through my Ken halves and found this uncirculated specimen. My Grandfather has had this probably since 1964 stored in small plastic bag inside a tiny envelope. I'm 99% sure it's never been exposed to anything, but it has this strange bluish tint on the left side of the coin. You can only see it at certain angles and it's definately not corrosion of any sort because the coin is perfect. When you look at the surface with a magnifier, you can't see anything on it. What the heck is this? It's the only one I have like this! Images are HUGE, warning, and in PNG format so I didn't lose any of the color....even though it's VERY hard to get a picture of. chrycopaul Pillar of the Community Canada 1106 Posts	Posted 06/13/2007 12:03 am When you say that it hasn't been exposed to anything, that is not quite true.
