With the help of my teller friends, I finally got one under the magnet.

Now I have found one G5 half, zero G5 quarter, one G5 dime, one G5 Nickel, and 8 G5 cents in US.

Happy Hunting everyone!

I grew up near the border / We had Canadian change all the time. My Grandfather had a laundromat business and went through a lot of change per week. Since we were close to the border, he collected both US and Canadian coins. The only G5 coins he got were a few G5 dimes and quarters. We never found any other G5 coins ... and this was back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s!

So I consider your finds amazing

Oh - he did once get a Newfie half - but it was G6.

That is truly amazing. Congrats on that one

I've never seen someone here find any KGV that wasn't a penny. Also, you came across a KGV half?!

Good luck on your hunting. Hope you find the KGV quarter!

@earle42: I guess I am very lucky.
@Cat: The 50C is 1919 very rough condition.
I have done less than 20 boxes of quarters and never found a silver let along Canadian
silver.
