cdnmace Valued Member United States 134 Posts	Posted 01/19/2014 5:11 pm Hi, long time listener, first time poster. Hope I'm putting this in the right place... Picked this 1915-S Barber Half. Personally, I've not seen this before on a silver. I have scores of Lincolns (copper), primarily Wheats with 'delam'; but no (in my collection) silver with this. My question is: Is this some sort of delam? There's no verdigris on this coin, so it doesn't appear that something is eating away at it. And the gouge, under my loupe, doesn't appear (stress appear) to be PMD. Just looking for feedback. Confirmation or debunking. Cheers. Report this Post to the Staff

Speaking with friends here at home, in person, there's now a debate about whether or not silver delaminates. That was the crux of my posting the question. Thanks for responding.
