No clue but who does like a mystery What I know about it. 2.02 Grams the weight on the thin 1964 Roosevelt dime 2.51 Grams the weight on the normal 1964 Roosevelt dime Any input, info, comments or suggestions... Necer149 Valued Member United States 457 Posts	Posted 10/18/2014 7:48 pm I'm certainly not the expert about this, but when I was going through my grandfather's Mercury dimes, I noticed the really worn down ones were thinner. I was was going to write that the pictures has lines pattern even on the untouched top parts and lower part that make it look worn but I dont believe it is but maybe it is the texture of material. note in hand it looks more like how a grease die is.
