It is nice when an event that happened on a coin that we find interesting. My birth year: Found this in a dealer book of BU coins at a coin show. The year I graduated High school.
A very interesting thread. I am doing my life history in coins. I have identified 35 major events through 2015 such as my birth year, and those of spouse, kids, grand kids, great grand daughter, marriage, graduations from HS and College, new house and on and on. I want to get a proof set and mint set for each event and support them with my life history dialogue. If I can get variety coins for those 35 years I'll do that too. Some sets are expensive as I was born in 1941 and there are 8 events between then and 1959. I'll pass them on to my two sons.
