And, just a hopefully helpful tip. If you take a pair of pliers, you can crimp down those staple edges so they don't catch other coins, or fingers, and you have a lot more storage space for the 2x2s. I can tell in the above picture that your stapler leaves them sticking out rather far. :) Just be very careful not to catch the edge of the coin when you squeeze.

I wouldn't consign old faithful to the garbage can just yet. Rarely have I seen a stapler that -did- lay staples absolutely flat, especially through such a thick medium as a coin 2x2.

I had a little plastic one, that I wore out in about a year. The second one was a more expensive, very nice desktop stapler (I wasn't allowed to get the red one -_- ) has lasted much longer, but still leaves that little gap. I just go over each flip with my pliers (I've seen specially modified pliers with a spring and ground down teeth so that there's a gap -just- the thickness of a coin, so you can't mash a collectible with them) every time I card a coin.

I figure I'm in for Carpal Tunnel syndrome, eventually. :D
