California State Quarter Error? - Coin Community Forum

CoinHunter53562 Pillar of the Community United States 2049 Posts	Posted 05/25/2008 11:10 pm I bought a small collection and came across two 2005-P California State Quarters in 2x2 cardboard holders. Each one was marked "Error Moon". After looking at the coins and doing some poking around on ebay and Google, I cant find any reference to these, nor can I see anything that looks odd to me. xshift Pillar of the Community United States 2669 Posts	Posted 05/26/2008 12:17 am I've heard references to a "high/low moon" on california State Quarters, but haven't seen pictures to know what to look for. As far as I know, there isn't a moon on this quarter's design (although the picture here: http://www.usmint.gov/KIDS/coinNews.../2005/02.cfm would lead someone to think otherwise). I'd be interested in a picture of the ones you have there with that error notation. Report this Post to the Staff
