I looked this penny up it said only 866 thousand made and could be worth $100-185.Instead of going off that one source thats generalizing all 1931-s pennys I'm looking for a price and grade based on my coin. Thank you.   Edited by DonovanXD

Wear and numerous contact hits put it at a VF-35, possibly XF-40 at the tops. About $100-120 in auctions I frequent raw, $150 up same grade slabbed, for some odd reason...? It is considered one of the LWC Key Date coins, will command decent premiums. Edited by Crazyb0

 The pics are dark but, it looks to be a net grade of VF35-XF40. I'll lean more to XF-40. It's tough to gauge any remaining luster from the pics but, it may be worth around $90-$110 to the right buyer. &  to CCF! In Memory of Crazyb0 12-26-1951 to 7-27-2020

I agree that it looks (by these pics) to be about VF35 or possibly better coin. You should have no trouble getting in the neighborhood of $100-$120 raw.

Donovan , being a new member on CCF your not familiar with the way comment on members coins . I tell it as I see it ,I'm not happy with the color of your coin ,It looks to me like a retone job which I don't condone . With a touch of wear and some contact marks It does deserve a grade of EF-40 .If your coin is confirmed to be cleaned and RETONED it will be worth less than above quotes .  |

Hard to tell color from pics, but if it's a problem free example, looks to be VF or so. Unfortunately the market for these has been a bit weak the past couple of years, and it might bring $75.

Full sharp ear, I'll say EF-45, but seem to be some darkish areas in right obverse field.

White balance off, try calibrating or changing your light. Looks like it's on a white surface but it's not captured.
