This weighs 2.26 grams. The diameter is 28 millimeters.

I am not even sure of the correct orientation of this item. The letter style seems more medieval , but I am not sure.

I can make out the word "rex" on one side, but I am struggling.

Looks like a Prague groschen of either Wenceslas II (1278-1305) or, much more likely, Wladislaw II (1471-1516).

I'd never seen one of those worn so unevenly though! Maybe it was just that badly struck?

I've never seen a pragergroschen this worn. The BO of BOHEMIE and the EI of DEI are readable. The reverse lion is completely obliterated.

I think I see a "Rex" ("King") on the obverse as well.
