Not too sure on this one, any insight is greatly appreciated.

Only posted links to photos because I was unable to crop the photos down to a small enough size while still showing the majority of the coin, if I used links to imagur will a preview of the photo appear on the post?

I did, ended up with a image only showing 1/4 of the coin at a time which I felt was not enough due to the nature of the coin. ill explore the imagur option as ive seen a few other posts with photos in that format.

When the plating gets punctured/split on the zinc cents, it is just a matter of time for them to breakdown. When you see the affect over years, then you will be more careful about not buying a coin that has plating issues. In the long run, the coin will continue to breakdown as time goes on.

Good example of zinc rot. Personally, I only acquire zinc-Lincoln cents through coin roll searching. I don't 'buy' any such coins individually--so far at least.
