2009 Lincoln Feeder Finger Damage? - Coin Community Forum

The less prominent ones probably had die wear from continued use. On the "wicked" I can understand the raised scratches as Feeder Finger Damage on the die. That doesn't explain the incuse areas on the coin itself. Perhaps a piece of the feeder finger splintered and adhered to the die? Curious. Report this Post to the Staff
coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/20/2009 9:37 pm I found two of them in the same roll. Exactly like that. At first I thought it was just damage, but not two coins exactly like that. In the same roll I found several normal ones. It have have been part of the feeder finger metal that was stuck to the die or the die was yanked after the markings we evident. Probably a whole lot more of them out there yet to be found.
