Great coins guys. I had to ditch my 50 peso gold dream because when I was one click away from buying I saw a tax bill attached of $511. I then found out that IL. taxes bullion thats under .92 pure and the Peso, while 1.2 oz of gold, is .900 puro and $511 is to stiff a tax price for me for what is basically a bullion coin despite its beauty. So I bought my first 1 oz gold Buffalo instead. I think were close enough to the gold floor to justify it and Bullion Exchanges lets you buy a single 2026 ASE with it at spot as well.

Quote: Thank you, CoinForMe! I think that the Lundy coins were originally in a clamshell that induced rainbow toning, as just about every one I've seen has had at least a bit of it. Thanks for the reply, Hondo; you seem to be one of the only ones here who give a little background on your displayed coins? I would love to have a clamshell that would work a little wonder on some of my Lincolns.
