Quote: The way they arrived that the conclusion is a P is interesting. We'll see I guess. It's a good assumption, that's what I'd guess, too. Hopefully details will be known soon. I really hope they release it to the public. Someone should try asking the mint. I also imagine coin news, etc are digging for info pretty hard. Quote: I sent the mint an email. Update, haven't heard back. I wouldn't expect a reply on the weekend, so maybe Monday?

Someone could call them. I'd call maybe the middle of next week. Maybe we should be to bombard then with questions about this. Paul Hollis' Facebook posts end up in my Facebook feed due some reason, I also can send him messages on Messenger, and I did that as well, not expecting a reply though. But I'll certainly post if I get anything back. I'm also tempted to email moonlight mint to ask if they are considering an overstrike with that privy.

How do We know the coins had a Die made and a Privy mark was designed into the Die. Maybe it was an After thought and a 2026 ASE Congrats set Proof Die was Counter Stamped, I would Love to see one of these in hand, I would enjoy determining the answer, Hopefully to the questions above..... Also, Are they Perfectly struck coins, Having Brand new Dies, being One of the above options May of occurred, Very few struck, If a Special Die was used, They Should be All Deep Cameos!!!

Reply from Daniel Carr: Greetings,
Actually, you are the first to ask. Regardless, I sympathize with your situation.
But I would not make a coin that entirely mimics a US Mint issued item.
The US Mint, and the original recipients of the coins, would not like it very much if I did.
Would I ever consider making something similar, but with some notable differences ?
Perhaps. But I would need to catch up on several other projects first.

Finally a reply: Dear ,
Thank you for your recent inquiry to the United States Mint.
We appreciate your interest and suggestions. While we have no plans to produce a Silver Eagle with the Team USA privy mark for the public. at this time, we will keep your views in mind as we continue to evaluate our annual product portfolio.

I guess that's better than nothing, Gilly. Thanks for trying on behalf of the ASE collector community.

It would be interesting to do an examination of the last time the Mint used an actually attractive presentation of a coin. Has there been anything with let's say a wooden or lacquered box, in the last....10-15 years?
At least in my collection that would be the 2012 SF Mint Anniversary and 2013 W Mint Anniversary ASE sets.
