1950 1 Cent - Die Rotation Error - Coin Community Forum

canuck1us Pillar of the Community United States 1002 Posts	Posted 08/29/2011 2:27 pm I have an uncirculated 1950 George VI penny. It appears to have a die rotation error of around 20 degrees or a little more. (I believe it is counterclockwise - George is looking downward when I rotate the coin.) Is this anything special or is it a fairly common error? Report this Post to the Staff

canadian-varieties Pillar of the Community Canada 1442 Posts	Posted 08/29/2011 2:59 pm People get really excited with rotations of 45 degrees or more. 20 degree rotation is not as common as 5-15 degrees, but I dont think its particularly rare either. Report this Post to the Staff
