1925-S-Or-D-Buffalo-Nickel?
My imagination, smashed or damaged S or D? D over S? S over D?
Anyone guess?

my guess smashed well worn S - I can see why you would consider S over D but if it was wouldn't the right side of the D be higher?

But also could be a worn D over S. It is odd that if you stare at it the D sort of stands out. Then as you look at the top, the S startes to be noticed. And then too also looks like a $. Did the Mint ever make a $ coin?

The "D" isn't really the same shape as any D mintmark used on Buffaloes though.
Rest in Peace

Well it was worth one thing. I learned that if you use a photo from photobucket in a post, and go back to photobuckete and delete that photo there, it also vanishes from a post here where used.
I placeed this coin in an Album as an S. Hopefully that is waht it was.
