pyrbob Rest in Peace United States 1943 Posts	Posted 06/20/2012 07:14 am As John said the current cent is copper plated. There is no cladding involved with the cent. This cent appears to me to be PMD. I think the plating was removed outside the mint and the one side was polished to try to replicate luster. Genuine unplated cents have the luster visable on the surfaces. Report this Post to the Staff
