Looking through some Canada coins a bought a while back,
I found this 1925 cent. I am not sure, but I think I was told it is a better date.

I am hoping to get some opinions on grade and value.

The 1925 is a key date in the series (along with the 1922 and the 1923). It should grade around F-VF (most major detail on crown still visible). The CV is $21 in F-12 and $27 in VF-20. Hope this helps.

To get a general value for Canadian Coins...Have a look at this site. It has a lot of good info. The link is to the page for your date range of cents.

Thank you for the replies. I think my biggest problem with Canadian coins is
not being able to grade them.

For some reason Canadian coins are my favorite ... well after U.S.A coins.

It's odd how much the prices differ on this website and the Krause Catalog of World Coins...

You can also look here:

bear in mind it is a retail place and prices reflect that but it is a pretty good aid in valuing some items.

Here's a site you may look to for help in grading Canadian coins. It's one I use... but there may also be others I don't know about yet.

It's a coin that is always in demand. To me it grades better than an VF but the dirt on it, etc. keeps it from going any higher. I buy everyone of these that I see as being a good deal along with the 1923. There is always a market for this coin so you won't go wrong.

It is very close to VF, but I'd grade it F-15 for my personal collection. A little preservation may be in order to get rid of that dirt.
