Welcome! Jgray44. Thank You, I lowered the white balance to -.7 to -.3 It helped with that wash out look and Light reflection, CCF has some great threads on how to photo coins. I want to say JBUCK was the OP,.It was a full documentation of trial and error getting the perfect shot. That single thread improved my photos Ten Fold. I could never photo anything that was reflective.

None of the photos are large enough to see if they are Type 1 or Type II mintmarks

Ok these are a little better, Stupid camera doesn't catch it even on Super Macro. But went back to the old method. Stereo Scope with Cell phone to one of the eye pcs. I think there clear enough to see what I'm seeing. I think the SBA, Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt,Washington are Type 2. JFK I'm not so sure. Hope these help First up is the big dog... Susan B Anthony I left part of the star and neck line in the pic so you could see its a SBA Now the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson nickle, Roosevelt dime JFK Half Washington quarter

I'm no expert on the series or on varieties, but the SBA looks like a type 1 to me. Let's see what others say.

I also think they are type 1. You're not really looking for clear mint marks like in 1979. But more for large bulbous serifs and rounder center loops.

They remain the same thickness all the way through, Clear centers, and the serifs are bulbous and flat. I don't feel the JFK is Its rounded with a fatter base, it gets narrower towards the surface, Peak like. I feel that ones a Type 1, The SBA I'm almost certian. I'm gonna keep working on the pics, See if I can transfer what I see.

I'm happy you said that Coindog, thought my want was over powering my judgement, Its amazing what a little thing like desire can do. Murrellington thank you for your honesty, I've got to have that with these, I'm not as comfortable as I'd liketo be, expessially when I want it so bad. There not the perfect Type 2, and the pics give it rounded effect. I think from the reflection of light washing out the actual design or the actual reflection from the relief of MM making it look rounder then it is. . Thats why I took that side pic. you can see the flatness a lot better. Also th rounded even bulbous ends. Lets see what some others think. It really would be kick !$$ to add the SBA and Lincoln for $9. This one I'll be selling though.
